Low prices lucrative for homebuyers

Western Massachusetts communities, including Adams, North Adams, and Pittsfield offer relatively low prices and many amenities for homebuyers hampered by soaring prices elsewhere.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with USA Today reporter Hadley Barndollar as part of the organization's continuing coverage of the Massachusetts housing market. She said, "we wanted to pull the data on the top five communities in the state with the lowest median home prices. North Adams and Adams are number one and two. With that, our goal is to reach out to real estate folks in these communities for their 'pitch' on why folks should move there, home price aside."
